Imagine my surprise when I woke up the day after The Game Awards 2018 to a message that said “You’ve got to check this game out” with a link to the trailer.
(I’d also been called out on Twitter, but let’s not sweat the details here)
The Last Campfire, the latest title from Hello Games, the studio behind No Man’s Sky, made its surprise appearance at the annual celebration of games. And, at least from the trailer, shows a lot of promise.
I got a few Journey vibes from the trailer, perhaps because of style. With any luck it’ll be a delightful game full of colorful and interesting spaces to explore.
The trailer, however, did not give even a tentative release date, so it’s anyone’s guess when we’ll see the full product, let alone further details on the title.
