Brown ales have a tendency to all taste alike – malty, smooth and otherwise unremarkable. I’m pleased to report that I’ve found is anything but boring.Winter beers can be rough – they are either strong and boozy (though there is nothing wrong with that), inventive but like those expectation vs. reality memes – never quite hitting the intended mark.
Big Ditch’s Fresh Baked Winter Ale has that spicy goodness that reminds you of a baked good. Still smooth, but not sweet, malty but not boring. The addition of cinnamon and vanilla makes it as welcome during the Christmas season as a batch of grandma’s cookies.
And, at 5.2%, isn’t going to ruin your night. Or the morning after.
